Frequently asked questions
Questions we often get from people thinking about writing.
Do I need writing experience?
No. Most people who publish with us have never published anything before. The editor helps with structure and language.
Does it cost anything?
No. Creating an account, writing, submitting and publishing are all free.
Can I write anonymously?
We require the editors to know your identity. In particular cases you may publish under a pseudonym, but it has to be agreed and justified before publication.
Can I publish in English?
Yes. You can write in Norwegian bokmål, English or both. If you write in both, the versions are linked together.
Who owns the article?
You do. We get a non-exclusive right to publish, translate and promote it on WebPublish.
Is every article accepted?
No. We decline articles that give the reader nothing, lack sources or are pure marketing. You always get a reason, and you can submit again.
How long does the review take?
Normally three working days. You can see the status on your desk throughout.
Can I use artificial intelligence?
As an aid, yes. To write the whole article, no. You declare the use when you submit.
Can I change an article after publication?
Yes. You make minor corrections yourself. Changes that alter the content go through the editors, and we show an update note.
Can companies publish?
Yes, as an organisation account. Content promoting their own products is labelled as partner content.
